Anton Gottlob is a UK based, German photographer, currently living in London. After working for Martin Schoeller in New York, he became part of Juergen Teller’s Studio since 2015.
The relocation to London entailed his discovery and passion for London’s underground techno and art scene, which he embeds in his photographic work. The upcoming solo show “8 Going • 45 Interested” gives an insight into a secret society, operating, performing and raving behind closed doors in techno culture. An immersive exhibition concept emphasizes the notion of the discovery. By creating an ambience that reflects the original scenery’s sensual stimuli beyond the gaze, the visitor is enabled to experience the photographic works in a similarly affective environment. Visitors are invited to become passengers to an alien culture and discover Anton Gottlob’s photographic eye as guide into deeper layers of a sub-culture.
