Sneaker silhouettes have been, unassuming simple and inoffensive for the past decade but adopting a different 90’s-bred chunky silhouette is British sports brand Hi-Tec with their second HTS74 collection. The second collection see’s the brand utilize functional sports technology with performance cushioning and the Vibram RGS outsole – a lightweight rubber outsole developed by Hi-Tec in 2011. Whilst the brand 40-year legacy is celebrated through the inclusion of some of the brand’s original styles such as the Badwater 146 and the ABC Concept All being presented in a compact avant-garde premium aesthetic. The last collection saw the brand appearing at London Fashion Week with Faustine Steinmetz and has been adopted by fashion faces such as Georgia Pendlebury, Irena Dreze, and The Internet’s Steve Lacy. Alongside innovation, the team at Hi-Tec have worked hard to modernize silhouettes and styles in premium suedes with Pantone palettes of desert, pink husk and faded camo. HTS74 once again triumphs in finding the perfect balance between performance and fashion.
